The famous Slovak film director Jural Jakubisko celebrated his 65th birthday. He invited guests (mainly showbiz cronies) for a screening of his re-discovered movie Zbehovia a pútnici, which was hidden in a communist safe. Afterwards, there was a big party in hotel Jalta.

In February 2003, the market research company MEDIAN conducted a readership survey on behalf of The Prague Tribune. As an incentive to readers, The Prague Tribune and Czech Airlines were happy to offer a round-trip ticket to Istanbul to the first-prize winner.

Long-distance relationship - 6.05.2003
New Zealand's Minister for Trade Negotiations and Agriculture, Mr. Hon Jim Sutton, arrived in the Czech Republic on a mission to support economic relationships and education. Judging from the relaxed atmosphere at the reception following the seminar, relationships are quite close despite the considerable distance between the two countries.

Run for fun - 18.05.2003
This year's Prague International Marathon was also an occasion for executives to compete in the 4.2-km race of the Synergie Recruitment Corporate Run. More than 80 teams participated in the run co-sponsored by The Prague Tribune, Czech Airlines and the Prague Hilton Hotel.

ACI Auto Components International and Radiokomunikační systémy shared first place, while third position was taken by the team of Savoy Hotel.
